OPtimized for one
Legacy is a single-machine engineering studio in Colorado. No design committees, no sales reps, and only one key to the shop door.
I don’t build for the masses. I build the objects I want to see exist in the world, then I put them out to see if anyone else agrees.
For years, I’ve operated as the quiet source for some of the most sought-after collectors' items in golf. Legacy is where I apply that same mechanical focus to my own proprietary geometries. My process is driven by the desire to see how far a design can be pushed before it is released.
This shop is a limited-access gallery. I don’t give tours and I don’t follow the traditional custom-fit script. From the first block of steel to come off the saw to the final hand finish, I am the only person to touch the work. I even clean my own fingerprints off the metal before it goes in the box. If you are here, you are at the source.
MY PROCESS
-
I have three proprietary head shapes I developed through iterative prototyping and testing: McClane (retro blade, 345g base), Theo (modern balanced, 350g base), Gennaro (rolled fender, 350g base, most popular).
-
Each putter is CNC-milled from solid steel blocks with 0.001" tolerances. No casting. No forging shortcuts. Head, neck, and all components machined, built, and finished in-house.
-
I offer multiple in-house finish options: raw steel, oil quench, hand-torching, Cerakote, Bead Blast. Each finish hand-applied and inspected. Custom paint infill is also available.
-
I am a vendor partner with the top tour-proven brands. I can source and supply nearly any shaft or grip to suit your build. Length, Lie, and Loft are all adjusted to suit the customer’s setup.
